Sketches

Ever since I was small I had a fascination with drawing. I would draw all the time, little doodles here, scribbles there. Then in my early teens I found drawing to be a great release and started researching different drawing techniques and so i cam across, shading. Thsi was a new concept to me as up until that point I drew flat images. But now, I took to observing objects in a new light, no longer these flat lines on a page. I discovered a way to bring my drawings a sense of realism, and I loved it. I rarely colour my drawing now, unless it is needed. as you can see from a few of the drawings below, some come to life with colour, others come to life with shading. I love both, but my real passion now, is in shading drawings. I could spend hours and hours adding and subtracting from a drawing until I get it right.

Over the next few months, I'll be uploading more sketches as I produce them. As my 3D lecturer Justin Magee puts it, "The quickest way of getting an idea out of your head is to get it down on paper."
